Information we collect

When someone contacts VesperTek, we may collect information such as name, email address, phone number if provided, company name, service interest, project details, message content, and any other information voluntarily submitted.

The website may also collect basic technical information, such as browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and date and time of visit.

How information is used

VesperTek may use information to respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, provide requested services, understand business needs, improve website content and performance, maintain business records, protect the website and business systems, and meet legal, accounting, or operational requirements.

Analytics and site tools

VesperTek uses Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights to understand search visibility and technical performance. The website also offers optional Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity analytics.

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after you select Allow analytics on this page through Privacy choices. Acceptance applies to the current page only. Opening or reloading a page requires a new acceptance before optional analytics loads. Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits; Microsoft Clarity helps us understand website interactions. Analytics events do not establish that an inquiry reached our inbox.

Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking is disabled and does not load on the current website.

When browser storage is available, we save a rejection and its preference-schema version. We do not save acceptance as permission for another page. If storage fails, a new page still starts without permission for optional analytics. You can reopen Privacy choices to reject optional tracking.

Withdrawing permission updates the analytics tools and reloads the current page without optional analytics. Other open pages receive a rejection signal where the browser supports it; if cross-tab communication is unavailable, reject tracking on each open page or close those pages. Withdrawal does not recall information already sent or guarantee cancellation of requests already in progress.

Contact forms and email

Information submitted through a contact form or email is used to respond to the inquiry and manage the business relationship. Do not submit highly sensitive information through the website contact form.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic WordPress functionality, security, spam protection, or embedded tools. Optional analytics cookies or storage are used only after the visitor allows analytics through Privacy choices. Visitors may use Privacy choices to change the website’s optional analytics preference and may also control cookies through their browser settings.

Information sharing

VesperTek does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate the website or business, email, hosting, analytics, or security providers, professional advisors such as legal or accounting providers, or authorities if required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or security.

Data retention

Google Analytics 4 event-level data is configured for a 14-month retention period. Microsoft Clarity retains ordinary session playback for 30 days; labeled or favorited recordings, heatmaps and aggregated data may remain for 9 months. Provider practices may change under their published policies.

For inquiries that do not become client engagements, VesperTek retains inquiry records for one year after the last contact. Client inquiry and delivery records are retained for one year after the engagement ends. Records are reviewed for disposal at the end of these periods. Accounting records are managed separately.

Security

VesperTek uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Third-party links

The website may link to third-party websites or services. VesperTek is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

Children’s privacy

The website is intended for business users and is not directed to children.

Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
